K1 next year!

Can't believe how fast you're growing up! You're going to be K1 next year! We took you to see 2 kindergartens that are near our home and it was clear which one we all preferred. :) With such a nice playground, the choice was clear!

We decided on a change of school for a few reasons. (1) The school bus arrangement is more convenient than walking/taking a bus to school especially when it rains. (2) We get to spend more time together as a family. This past year, mummy would send you to school after feeding Annette breakfast so we would reach around 10 am (which was rather late and you miss a few lessons). And the only convenient time to pick you up is after Annette's snack and your snack in school around 4 pm. Tried picking you up at 1 pm before nap time (since you started skipping naps at 3.5 years old) but it was the hottest time of the day and Annette has to nap. So thank God you'll be in the 2nd session next year which is 11.45 am to 2.45 pm which fits perfectly. (3) You rather not nap in school because you don't feel tired (which is good for mummy and daddy too because then you sleep early around 7 pm!)

Teacher Yani is going to miss you lots. But there's a possibility you might still attend ballet lessons at your old school - we'll try to work out the timing and transport. So you might still be able to see your friends and teachers at your old school.

Last year, we watched you perform at the school concert which was a nice way to mark your last day. However, your current childcare centre isn't having a school concert so that's quite sad. We'll just have to wait for the Parent-Teacher Conference at the end of the year as a way to mark your last day.
